Terry S. Nelson has been a trial lawyer, trying personal injury lawsuits since 1982.  He started his career working for a medical malpractice, wrongful death and personal injury law firm in Dade County, Florida.  He made the move to Southwest Florida in 1990. During his career on the East Coast, he tried medical malpractice, product liability, automobile accidents, and aviation cases in Monroe County, Dade County, Broward County, Palm Beach County, Martin County, Orange County, and Lee County.  These included cases in both State and Federal Court, and included the 1985 Delta Airliner crash in Fort Worth, Texas. 

Since moving to Fort Myers, Florida in 1990, he continued trying  medical malpractice, product liability, automobile accident, nursing home neglect and other personal injuries cases.  During this time frame, he has tried cases to verdict in Collier County, Lee County, Charlotte County, Sarasota County, Pinellas County, Hillsborough County and Orange County.

He currently appears regularly in the State Courts of Lee, Collier and Charlotte Counties, as well as in the Federal Courts in Fort Myers and Tampa.

Since opening the firm of Cooper & Nelson, LLP, Terry Nelson continues to represent persons suffering from injuries from medical negligence, nursing home abuse, car crashes and other personal injuries, including spinal injuries, brain injuries, and wrongful death.

Terry S. Nelson has been Board Certified as a Civil Trial Attorney since 1992.
